What we do with your information
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Short version
This site collects what you type into the contact form, standard technical data our hosting provider logs for every visitor (like IP address and request time), and may use aggregate analytics tools to understand traffic. Some pages embed third-party services (a blog widget, live client-site previews, and, where used, booking and payment tools) that run their own code and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. The full detail on each is below.
Who runs this site
Solvus is operated by an individual (sole trader / živnosť under Slovak law) based in Slovakia. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, that individual is the data controller for any information collected through this site. Contact details are below.
The contact form
The phone number or email you enter is used to build a pre-filled email in your own mail client, addressed to us. It does not touch a server on submission; it travels straight from your device to your own mail client. We process it to answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to deliver the service you asked for. That's processing on the basis of your consent in submitting the form and, where you become a client, to take steps toward a contract at your request.
We use it to reply to you and for the business relationship that follows if you become a client. We do not sell it or hand it to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We keep the resulting email thread for as long as it's useful for the business relationship or a legal reason to keep it (for example, tax and invoicing records for a paid project, which Slovak law requires keeping for a set number of years), then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time; see "Your rights" below.
If you click the WhatsApp link, you leave this site and open a conversation with us in WhatsApp, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy and data handling. We only see what you choose to send us there.
Hosting, logs, and analytics
This site is hosted on Vercel, which logs standard technical data (like IP address and request time) for every visitor, for security and uptime, as most hosting providers do. That processing can happen on servers outside the EU/EEA (Vercel is a US company); where it does, it relies on Vercel's own standard contractual safeguards for international transfers.
This site may also use analytics tools made available through our hosting provider to understand aggregate traffic (for example, which pages get visited and roughly how much traffic the site gets). Where used, these are configured to report in aggregate rather than to build an individual profile of you, but we're stating this as a possibility rather than a firm no, since account-level settings can change without a code change to this site.
Embedded third-party services
A few pages load a third party directly in your browser:
- The blog is powered by a third-party widget (Soro), loaded from app.trysoro.com. It may set its own cookies and collect its own usage data under its own privacy policy; we don't control what it does internally.
- The Work and Home Services pages embed live, real websites we've built for clients (currently hosted on vercel.app subdomains) inside an iframe so you can scroll them yourself. Those sites run their own code and may load their own third-party resources and cookies; that's outside our control and covered by their own operators, not by this policy.
- Where a booking tool (Cal.com) or payment tool (Stripe) is live on this site, using it means interacting with that provider directly. They will set cookies necessary to run scheduling and checkout (including fraud-prevention cookies), under their own privacy policies. We don't receive your full payment card details; Stripe processes those directly.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or hand it over in a portable format, and you can object to how we're using it. Tell us and we'll act on it for anything we directly control (the contact form thread, project records). For data held by an embedded third party (Soro, Cal.com, Stripe, WhatsApp), you may also need to contact that provider directly, since they control their own systems. If you're in the EU and think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in Slovakia, the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic).
California and other US privacy laws
We do not sell personal information, and we don't make automated decisions about you based on it. If you're a California resident, you have the same practical rights as above: ask us to tell you what we have, or delete it.
Children
This site is a business-to-business marketing site and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
